Following successful resuscitation of an opioid overdose, using naloxone, peers are able to safely and successfully monitor individuals where they are at, instead of sending them to the hospital.

Localized Data Evaluation
While overdose rates rose across the United States, the local impacts of boots on the ground harm reduction organizations were not recognized. through publicly available data analysis we are able to evaluate the impacts of harm reduction efforts in your community. Additionally, we are able to evaluate the before and after impacts of new programs and implemented legislation.
Drug Supply Impacts
Through collaborations with FTIR Drug Checking results, evaluations of the additional compounds found in the drug supply and the impacts they have on the body are performed to allow for a more informed experience by the consumer.
Novel Approaches to Overdose Prevention
During Dr. Wiese’s post-doc appointment at UCLA she discovered a third cannabinoid, CBD, that was able to prevent respiratory depression in mice when administered alongside fentanyl, setting the stage to potentially increase the safety profile of all opioids.
